My favourite networking event of the year is the Travel Media Awards. It’s the one event of the year where leading editors of nearly all national media and trade titles and some of the most high profile digital influencers, photographers and broadcasters come together. It’s a celebration of travel media talent with everyone in one room — fantastic networking and great fun too!

The Travel Media Awards is one of the events in the calendar that I look forward to the most. It is one of the most well attended travel functions of the year and not only allows me to catch up with industry colleagues but it’s also a great opportunity to make new contacts with a prestigious list of top tier attendees. Plus, it’s always nice to raise a glass or two to celebrate writer’s achievements in good company.

In sparkling surrounds, we all wait with bated breath to find out the winners of Travel Media Awards, which have come to represent a real benchmark of performance in the industry. The awards’ night represents all that we have missed over the last year or so: catching up with colleagues in person, chinking glasses, toasting friends, celebrating as a throng.
